Project Overview

Overview

AxiomVault is a privacy-first secure messaging architecture built to demonstrate advanced system design, cryptography, and microservice separation.

Security Model

Zero-Knowledge Routing: The Node.js + WebSocket server routes ciphertext and encrypted session keys without processing plaintext messages.
Hybrid Encryption: AES-256-GCM protects message payloads, while RSA-OAEP-2048 exchanges session keys.
Encrypted Key Escrow: RSA private keys are stored only after being encrypted with a PBKDF2-derived local passphrase key.
Trust Scoring: Suspicious accounts can be rate-limited dynamically through Redis-backed controls.

AI Moderation Layer

A Python FastAPI service evaluates user metadata with an Isolation Forest anomaly detection model. It flags bot/spam behavior without inspecting private message contents.
